The Sun Always Shines ...

This is our last day at Oslo, this evening we will drive to Tonsberg.

Per Platou

When we met Per Platou during our first visit to Oslo about one year ago, it was at the exact same spot as today. Teddy's Soft Bar, one of the oldest bars in Oslo, kept its original 50ies interior, including the Wurlitzer, that someone just fed with coins to bring back the old times with some Rock'n Roll. Per Platou, who works as an artist and curator, was one of our first contacts in Norway and helped us a lot with finding interesting people and places. He is the coordinator of PNEK, a network for artists and organisations working in the fields of electronic and interdisciplinary art.

Avalanche

An evening sky view in Oslo. Elisabeth Nesheim from our team in Bergen just sent us a message, that there was a large rock avalanche by Arna this morning, due to massive falls of rain. Arna lies just outside of Bergen along the route we drove yesterday. Avalanches are not common in that area, and the whole traffic between Bergen along the E16 had to be re-directed.

Goethe-Institute Norway

A warm welcome and project updates with Dr. Michael de la Fontaine and Ellen Øvergaard from the Goethe-Institute Norway in Oslo. They are our project partners since our first journey to Norway in September 2008.

Oslo

We arrived at our destination Oslo. After three weeks of Finnmark and small cities, this is like a thunderstorm for all senses.

Bergen - Oslo

We are close to the end of our exploration. Getting some last glimpses of northern wilderness before we will enter urban territories.

There is light at the end

Between Bergen and our current location, we counted 46 tunnels, the longest one is about 24 km.
