Kautokeinoelva

Still 100 km to go, destination: Alta. We are passing the Kautokeinoelva, shortly before it will get really dark.

Dig Dug

We're driving through reindeer territories, next to the roads there are a lot of them digging for food below the snow. Some of them disappear with the first half of their bodies into the holes they dug, which looks kind of funny.

-33

The temperature is down to -33 degrees Celsius and falling. The air is crystal clear and the view breathtaking.

Tricky

In some spots, the wind can blow hard from the side, piling up the snow to tricky snow drifts.

Somewhere

Yet another snow scooter track leading from the road towards somewhere.

Last sunlight

A days last sunlight on the top of these hills, that are characteristic of this region.

Low

Where the low light still finds a way, it makes everything cast huge shadows.

Colder by the hour

On the road towards Alta. While the sun is vanishing slowly behind the mountains it's getting colder by the hour.

Rolf Morten

Later in the studio of musician Rolf Morten. He doesn't seem to have a dog.
